The World Tour
So I carried 1 luggage 1 backpack +- 1 carry on and went to
6 countries, 6 timezones, 20 cities + towns (places) and walked
12629 steps daily
Also worked at 2 offices, caught Covid once and lost 2 Airpods and gained 10 pounds (holy molly!)
When I first planned this trip, it was more like a revenge travel, to meet old/new friends and be a digital nomad for about 2 months, I almost cancelled it since Mother bear was ill. Things became better, Mother & Father bear also wanted me to go as they knew how bad I needed this.
Until my ex coworker pointed out that I actually fly around the world in 69 days as i left HK to Europe and now fly back from US West Coast. Traveling around the world is my dream since I was little and just like that I have reached my dream. It is a wake up call to me that it’s all about perspective.
And coincidentally I saw Emilie Earhart and Lindy Finch’s around the world routes, I was in awe.
Very importantly thanks everyone who has
- helped out and supported my family back home, my aunt and uncles as well as my nieces!
- let me crash at your place and bear with my nonstop talking
- Cooked for me (man, so many delicious homecooked food!)
- let me babysit / play with your kids
- let me do my laundry
- shown me around your hometown / favorite restaurants/ local areas
- spent your time with me over lunch/dinner/walk to update me your life and listen mine
- given me space when you know I needed
- given me help along the way (I have met so many nice passerby to help me with my big luggage; hotel staffs always check in with me whenever i passed lobby)
- alot more that words cant describe
Of course, thank you universe who have kept me safe and sound, and the weather had been always good wherever I went.
Feeling grateful to have my partner being my rock throughout
This trip is important to me, not just a new 20
birthday gift, it has been a true healing journey.
There is so much to live for - i am glad i am able to say this
